The ACL 7000 is a centrifugal analyzer with an optical system which measures the intensity of light scattered by the sample before, during and after the formation of coagulum. The optical system provides comprehensive monitoring of the kinetics of formation of fibrin strands through, inter alia, obtaining 1,100 optical density measurements per sample.
Coagulation tests are analyzed by a method that measures the reading nephelometric turbidity increase during the formation of coagulum. The light beam of a wavelength of 660 nm is directly transmitted through the specimen by a fiber optic system. The reflected light is then directed to a transversely positioned light source to the detector.
The ACL 7000 is equipped with a sample holder plate 20 positions and can handle up to 18 primary tubes (12-13 mm in diameter, 75-90 mm high, 3.0-5.0 mm) or cups 500ml and 2ml.
IL ACL 7000 from Instrumentation Laboratory is used for the analysis of:
PT-Fib, APTT, TT, plasminogen, Fib-C, APCR-Leiden, AT-III, antiplasmin, APCR-V, factors high curve and heparin Xa. In addition, it offers an expanded testing capability for immunological testing such as D-Dimer. The system has the throughput capacity of 175 tests per hour for PT-Fib and 110 tests per hour for APTT.
